In this class you will be introduced to the foundations of classical electromagnetism. 

We will start with basic electrostatics; work through the concept of electric fields and potentials; discuss Gauss' Law and its consequences; and acquaint ourselves with current, circuits, and their usages. From this point we then move into magnetostatics; investigating Ampere's and Faraday's Laws; developing more complicated circuit designs; and ending up with Maxwell's Equations.

You will also learn some of the mathematical techniques of importance to physics. In short, you are going to be introduced to the way physics is really done by physicists!

In this class you will be introduced to the foundations of classical dynamics.

We will start with basic dynamics; work through Newton's law; discuss collisions and energy conservation; acquaint ourselves with rotational motion; and finish up with Newtonian Gravity.

You will also learn some of the mathematical techniques of importance to physics. In short, you are going to be introduced to the way physics is really done by physicists!
